Director of International Relations explains BREXIT and its impact at Scotch College
Director of International Relations, Dr Gabriele Suder, delivered a presentation to Scotch College students and staff on Wednesday, September 7, 2016. The topic of high interest was BREXIT. Dr Suder shared her insights on possible implications of BREXIT on Europe's future and the impact to Australian business sectors, policy, and leadership. The presentation is part of Scotch College’s ‘Breakfast Series’, an event held once a term where esteemed speakers share their expert insights on current and significant issues. As a Principal Fellow at the Melbourne Business School, The University of Melbourne, and author of “Doing Business in Europe”, Dr Suder highlighted the importance of internationalisation and the connection with Melbourne and Australia to Scotch College students.
Dr Suder facilitated a discussion on how related exit scenarios from the European Union would alter the fabric of Europe. She highlighted the unique nature of the European Union’s integration and collaboration internally and externally, using the example of the Airbus Group SE and the construction of it's A380 aircraft models.
Scotch College students showed their great interest in the fields of international relations and business study through many constructive questions. They shared their thoughts about the future of their tertiary education and career paths. The students were informed about the numerous study options, exchange opportunities and research innovations, available at The University of Melbourne.
